Eielson Visitor Center Shuttle Bus
66 Miles One Way - 8 hours Round Trip
On a clear day, this 8-hour shuttle bus trip into the park offers outstanding views of Mt. McKinley and the Alaska Range, and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Opened in June 2008 the completely reconstructed, Platinum LEED certified, Eielson Visitor Center was three years in the making. The newly constructed sustainable building and all new interpretive exhibits are well worth the visit. Take a hike on your own on the trails around the visitor center, or join National Park Service Rangers for daily guided walks.

Advanced Reservations Highly Recommended.
Those wishing to take a bike into the park for a day trip or overnight trip on the Park Road. The 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM. 8:00 AM 8:30 AM and 11:00 am EVC Shuttles can only accomodate 2 bicycles and these spaces must be reserved in advance. (September 6 - September 13, 2012 - EVC 7:30 am, 8 am, and 9:30 am & Toklat 9:30 am, 11:00 am EVC)
Note: There is a $4.00 fee per ticket and per campsite to change or cancel a reservation. You may change or cancel the reservation for shuttle buses as long as it is at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the departure time, either by calling (800) 622-7275 or visiting the Wilderness Access Center (WAC).
