Teklanika Tundra Wilderness Tour

2010 Dates of Operation: May 15 - May 19 Only
The winter months are harsh in Interior Alaska and can take a toll on the rugged Park Road. The National Park Service works diligently to ensure the Park Road is passable, however the weather in the shoulder season can make travel unsafe. While the road corridor thaws, we offer the Teklanika Tundra Wilderness Tour. This 4 - 5 hour tour is led by a Certified Interpretive Guide and travels to mile 30 to turn around at the Teklanika River.
- A boxed lunch and hot beverage are offered on this tour.
- Morning or afternoon departures. The morning tours depart between 5:00 AM and 9:00 AM and are designed to get you back to catch your train or bus transportation. The afternoon tours depart between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. Exact departure times are not guaranteed and are based on availability.
