Fees & Policies

Payment Policy: Full payment is due at the time of booking.

NPS Entrance Fee: All visitors 16 years of age and older are required to pay a $15 NPS Entrance Fee. This entrance fee is included in the price of all narrated tour bus tickets but not Transit bus tickets or campgrounds. Visitors with Transit and/or campground reservations will be charged the fee upon check-in.

Cancellation Policy: There is a $7.50 fee per ticket/campsite to change or cancel a reservation eight (8) days in advance. Cancellations within eight (8) days of scheduled trip/arrival are non-changeable and non-refundable.

Parking Policy: There is no overnight parking at the Denali Bus Depot. The best parking option is at the Riley Creek Campground for day use located to the Post Office and Caribou Loop.

Smoking & Alcohol Policy: Smoking or consumption of alcoholic beverages is NOT permitted on any transit bus.

Wheelchair Requests: If you have a need for a wheelchair seat on your tour, please call us at 866.761.6631 or 866.761.6629, so we can assign you to the correct bus to meet your needs.


Check In:

CampgroundsAll visitors with campground reservations must first check-in at the Riley Creek Mercantile to collect their required camping permit prior to arriving at their reserved campground.  Check-in and Check-out times for all campgrounds is 11:00 am. All campgrounds operate on a first come, first served basis to those who possess their camping permit.

Transit Buses – All visitors with Transit bus reservations must check-in at the Denali Bus Depot a minimum of twenty (20) minutes prior to departure to collect bus tickets and pay entrance fees. The pick-up time listed on the reservation is also the departure time! Tickets may be collected 1-2 days in advance at the Denali Bus Depot. To save time, please bring your confirmation paperwork with you.

Narrated Tour Buses – Visitors with narrated tour bus reservations must visit ReserveDenali.com and click “Retrieve Reservations” at the bottom of the website two (2) days prior to departure to confirm departure time and loading location. Please arrive a minimum of twenty (20) minutes prior to the pick-up/departure time at the pick-up location listed. A physical ticket is not needed for these buses as the driver will ask for your name when boarding.

Miscellaneous: All visitors camping at Teklanika Campground for less than the three (3) night minimum stay required to drive a personal vehicle to the campground will require a Camper Transit Bus ticket. If you are unsure of the type of ticket required, please call us at 1.800.622.7275.

Facility Hours:

Denali Bus Depot - 5:00 am to 7:00 pm daily

Riley Creek Mercantile - 7:00 am to 11:00 pm daily (Mercantile may close at 10:00 pm after Labor Day)
