The George Parks Highway is a direct route to the park and is easily passable in the summer. Caution should be taken in inclement weather. Large mammals such as moose and bear can be found along this road corridor. Their behavior is unpredictable, so drivers should proceed with caution and drive slowly when wildlife is nearby as traffic permits.

Commercial airlines fly into Anchorage throughout the year. During the summer months, the Alaska Railroad Corporation makes daily trips from Anchorage to Denali. The Park Connection, a private motor coach company, also offers daily coach service between Anchorage and Denali.
